Opening Wales Climate Week 2023 (Welsh Government)

This session set the context for Wales Climate Week. As world leaders came together at COP28 in Dubai, discussion centred around the importance of ensuring fairness in in the Net Zero transition at both a Wales and global level.

Global Lessons: Navigating a Just Transition (Office of the Future Generations Commissioner)

This session explored the challenges we are facing due to the climate and nature emergencies and how these can be tackled in a just and fair way, with a focus on jobs and skills. Examples of good practice and progress at an international level were considered – including common challenges and opportunities.

Culture, Creativity and Climate Change (Welsh Government)

The culture and heritage sectors in Wales are bringing creative responses to the challenges of climate change. This session considered the impact of climate change on culture, showed how creative people are responding to problems, and demonstrated how our sectors are communicating the stories of climate change.

Young People and Climate Action in Schools (Office of the Children's Commissioner)

This session highlighted how education can encourage people to change their attitudes and behaviour, make informed decisions and empower and motive people to take climate action.
